South Indian cinema is known for its action-filled movies and plotlines. Bollywood is known to take inspiration from the South Indian film industry on more than one occasion. There are many remakes of South Indian movies that proved to be blockbuster hits in Bollywood. Bollywood has witnessed the journey of some of the best actors who kick-started their career in South Indian cinema and later made it to the Bollywood industry. Let's take a look at some of them.

Prakash Raj is mainly known for his "bad-boy" roles. From playing Jaykant Shikre in Singham to playing Vasu Reddy in Golmaal Again, the actor has justified every role that he has played in the eyes of his fans. Prakash Raj started off his career down South and successfully made it to Bollywood. He is very well-known for his movies like Dabangg 2, Wanted among others.
Siddharth
Siddharth is a very popular actor in the Tollywood industry. He stole everyone's heart with his rebellious character in Rang De Basanti. He is said to be choosy about Hindi movies. He also worked in comedy film Chashme Baddoor. Siddharth was nominated under the category of Best male debut, for his role in Rang De Basanti.
Asin Thottumkal
Asin was a very successful and popular actor in Tamil and Telugu cinema before setting foot in Bollywood. She went on to state in multiple interviews back then about how she had got the perfect Bollywood debut film next to Aamir Khan in Ghajini. Asin won many awards for her debut that year. She has worked with many Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan in Ready, Housefull 2 with Akshay Kumar as well as with Ajay Devgn in Bol Bachchan.
Tamannah Bhatia
Her Bollywood debut did not work in her favour, so reportedly Tamannaah chose to try her hand in south Indian movies. She went on to make it big there, being a part of many blockbusters. Later she returned to Bollywood with her film Himmatwala. She made an appearance in Baahubali which is said to be the biggest film in India so far.
