Boman Irani: What attracted the veteran actor to Made in China

Made in China movie released on October 25, clashing with Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar’s Saand Ki Aankh as well as Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4. The film saw a slow growth at the box office post its October release, but Rajkummar Rao's fans have loved the film immensely. The movie explores the story of a Gujarati businessman who goes to China to find new business opportunities. The film gives comedic inspiration to budding entrepreneurs who want to set up a new business.

Boman Irani's role in Made in China

Rajkummar Rao and Boman Irani are seen sharing some incredible moments in the movie Made in China. Boman Irani, who is known to choose exquisite roles to play, be it Viru Sahastrabuddhe in 3 Idiots or Batuk Patel in Housefull, will be seen in the role of a sexologist named Dr Vardhi this time. In an interview with a leading daily, Boman Irani mentioned that Made in China is not a sex comedy movie. Boman Irani also mentioned that he will never sign up for any sex comedy film. Boman said that the reason why he was interested in doing this movie was that the story is set in the backdrop of an entrepreneurial idea and Dr Vardhi was somebody who is not a preacher but more of a guiding light to Rajkummar's character. Boman Irani was fascinated with the sweet idea at the end of the movie, which enticed him to sign up for this role.

All about Made in China

The film is directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. Mikhil Musale made his directorial debut with a Gujarati film, making Made in China as his second film as a director. Besides Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy, the film also features Sumeet Vyas, Paresh Rawal, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Rajkummar Rao essays the role of a Gujarati entrepreneur who has an innovative new business idea. Here, Dr. Vardhi, played by Boman Irani, is a sexologist who plays a main role in this entrepreneurial project.
