CBI's Sushant Singh Rajput Probe LIVE Updates: NCB team will travel to Mumbai on Friday

Vikas Singh, the lawyer of Sushant Rajput's father, has demanded the suspension of the Mumbai Commissioner of Police and DCP of Bandra. Responding to media reports about Siddharth Pithani's confession that Rhea Chakraborty destroyed hard drives before leaving Sushant's residence, the lawyer said the development clearly establishes there was a conspiracy to kill the actor.

Republic TV has learnt from sources that the blood sample of Rhea Chakraborty will be taken to determine whether she had consumed narcotic drugs. Handwriting and voice samples will also be taken from Rhea and others. 

Soon after joining the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has registered a case under sections 20, 27, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). These sections pertain to criminal conspiracy in procuring and consuming illegal drugs.

NCB DG Rakesh Asthana has confirmed to Republic that the investigating agency will probe the syndicated network, conspiracy and drug supply.

The Rakesh Asthana-led Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) which has entered investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, has analysed key documents in the case and will decide on registering a criminal number on Wednesday evening if they decide to further the probe.

Sources report the documents handed over by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to the NCB include Whatsapp messages of Rhea Chakraborty and alleged drug dealers and the usage of certain narcotic substances. Apart from the NCB, the CBI, ED and the Mumbai police are still probing into the 34-year-old's demise when he was found dead in his Bandra residence on June 14.

Whatsapp conversations accessed by RepublicTv highlight Rhea's chats with alleged drug dealer. Earlier Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Mansinde had refuted allegations over Rhea using and dealing in narcotics saying, "Rhea has never consumed drugs in her lifetime. She’s ready for a blood test any time," said Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Mansinde, though he's not spoken about her dealing in them.

With suspicion looming over Sandeep Ssingh's hand in Sushant Singh Rajput's death, sources have revealed that the late actor's self-proclaimed friend is planning to leave the country. Reportedly, Sandip Ssingh is planning to flee to a foreign nation, probably to the UK, with sources informing that his PR team is in talks with visa agents for the same. 

In a shocking development on Wednesday, Sushant Singh Rajput's self-proclaimed friend Sandip Ssingh had dialled two Mumbai police officers who were investigating the actor's death, call detail records (CDR) accessed by Republic TV have revealed.

As per the CDR, two calls were made to Bhushan Belnekar, who happens to be the IO (investigating officer) in the case, on June 15, one of them lasted for nearly 90 seconds. Later, Ssingh spoke to PSI Vaibhav Jagtap on June 17 and then again on June 18 that lasted over two minutes. Jagtap was Belnekar's deputy through the course of the Police's probe in the death case.

Siddharth Pithani, Dpesh Sawant, and cook Neeraj reached the DRDO house as they faced questioning for the fifth straight day since the central agency took over the probe. 

BP leader Ram Kadam on Wednesday lashed out at the Maharashtra government over the recent revelations of an alleged narcotics angle into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput questioning whether the state government was trying to bury the matter to safeguard the city's drug mafia.

"Who are these big people from the industry who are getting drugs, or who are supplying drugs? How does this mafia operate? Does this drug mafia have the blessings of the Maharashtra government? If in this kind of a way drugs are sold and bought openly in Mumbai, what is the state government even doing?" said the BJP leader. 

Furthering their probe into an alleged 'homicide angle' with regards to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, AIIMS on Wednesday sent a detailed list of 25 questions to CBI on the crime scene along with a set of guidelines to help the Central agency conduct the 'homicide' investigation. This comes a day after the AIIMS team while reexamining the reports related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death raised a possible 'homicide angle' to his death. 

Top sources in the CBI on Wednesday informed Republic Media Network that the agency has found "technical lapses" in the probe conducted by the Mumbai Police into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam's link with Sushant's self-proclaimed 'close friend' Sandip Ssingh have come under focus as the call for the arrest of Sandip grows louder with each passing day.

On Tuesday, Republic TV-accessed call records of Sandip Ssingh that showed that there were 28 calls, lasting for 9494 seconds total, made to Sanjay Nirupam between the period of November 16, 2019, and July 29, 2020, raising questions as to why.

Earlier on June 17, Sanjay Nirupam, via a tweet, had lauded Sandip Ssingh for 'arranging' the autopsy of Sushant. The Congress leader had also claimed earlier that Sandip was with him at the time of the newsbreak of Sushant's alleged suicide. 

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) which is probing the financial angle in the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has summoned Rhea Chakraborty's former talent manager Jaya Saha. The development comes after Jaya Saha's name surfaced in some text messages with Rhea in which a discussion about putting "four drops" of some substance in somebody's drink. The message, allegedly sent in late 2019 reads,  “Use 4 drops in tea, let him sip it …. Give it 30-40 mins to kick in”.

On Monday, a top ED source told Republic TV that ED has shared evidence of Rhea Chakraborty's use and dealing in narcotics with the CBI. Sources also informed Republic TV that senior officials of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will meet later in the day in Delhi to discuss the ED reference with reference to Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp chats and suspected links with drug dealers and dealings with banned substance and narcotics.

A day after Enforcement Directorate (ED) sources informed that the agency has evidence of Rhea Chakraborty dealing in narcotics, senior officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will meet on Wednesday in Delhi. Sources said that they will discuss the ED reference to narcotics with respect to the WhatsApp chats of accused Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Sources also informed that the NCB will look into the suspected links of Rhea with drug dealers and investigate into any alleged dealings relating to banned substances and narcotics. Moreover, parallel to this, the ED has summoned Jaya Saha, who allegedly exchanged messages with Rhea in late 2019 wherein she advised "Use 4 drops in tea, let him sip it …. Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Mansinde issued a statement after the actor's association with narcotics was brought to light by the ED and the information regarding her use & dealing in narcotics was also shared with the CBI team probing the Sushant death case.

"Rhea has  never consumed drugs in her life time ever. She’s ready for a blood test any time", said her advocate Satish Mansinde. 

CBI sources have told Republic TV that an AIIMS panel will probe the homicide angle in the death case.

CBI team has reached Bandra Police station from Cooper Hospital

A top ED source has told Republic TV that the agency has shared evidence of Rhea Chakraborty's use and dealing in narcotics with the CBI. Earlier, sources confirmed that the CBI team had met their ED counterparts and were briefed about the financial angles in Sushant's death probe while also sharing the data dump analysis with the agency on Monday. 

According to sources, the ED has shared details of Rhea Chakraborty's use of narcotics and the deals associated with the purchasing of narcotic substances. However, the ED did not reveal the precise nature of evidence in their possession.

The CBI team probing the death case has arrived at Mumbai's Cooper Hospital for the third time.

In yet another explosive revelation, Republic TV spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput's US-based friend Aneesha Madhok who revealed the conversation with the late actor about his plans to move to Hollywood. Republic TV has also accessed 13 chat screenshots between the two, which show that Sushant and Madhok had discussed Hollywood and about visiting Los Angeles.

'Spiritual healer' Mohan Joshi, who spent three days with Sushant and Rhea in a resort last year, has been summoned by the CBI. The CBI is probing the angle of 'spiritual healing' that the family allegedly arranged for SSR. The CBI officials also visited the Waterstone resort on Monday to seek details.

The CBI officers left Cooper Hospital after spending 50 minutes at the venue.Two officers had made this visit, which was the second one, after reportedly not receiving satisfactory responses last time. 

Two officers of the CBI have reached the Cooper Hospital.  The hospital has been a subject of controversy over the post-mortem of Sushant. Earlier, it was reported that the statements of the authorities at the hospital did not satisfy the CBI authorities. 

The  CBI officials visited the Kotak Mahindra Bank in Bandra, where Sushant held an account. The officials asked details of the transactions and how much had been transferred to his flatmate Siddharth Pithani and cook Neeraj. The account in question was the same one from which Rs 15 crore were transferred to an unrelated account, as claimed in the FIR. The officials, however, were left displeased with the responses from bank officials.

After returning from the Waterstone resort on Sunday, the CBI team once again arrived at the venue on Sunday. They are likely to probe the 'spiritual healing' angle, as sources reveal that SSR met a 'spiritual healer' arranged by Rhea and her family, who also lived with SSR during that time.

Meanwhile, Sushant's accountant Rajat Mewati too was interrogated by the CBI on Sunday night.

The CBI is all set to question the CAs of both Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty. Sushant's manager Shruti Modi is also likely to be questioned. The CBI, that has questioned numerous people and recreated the scene, is also looking at investigating the financial angle, with ED too questioning Rhea and the others. 

As a team of CBI investigated the evidences at Sushant's home, along with SSR's flatmate Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj and staff Dipesh Sawant, another team was spotted at the Bandra police station. The CBI team has been seen multiple times at the police station, as the Supreme Court asked Mumbai Police to co-operate with the CBI in the case.   

Siddharth Pithani was seen leaving Sushant's house with CBI officials in one car as the officers gathered at the venue for the second day in a row. Like on Saturday, the officials seem to be taking Siddharth, Dipesh Sawant and Neeraj to three separate locations after the recording of evidences. Republic TV had confronted the trio on their way to their accomodation late on Saturday.

The CBI officials left Sushant's home after almost three hours of recording of evidences on Sunday.  The officials  for the second day in a row brought Siddharth Pithani, Dipesh Sawant and Neeraj at the venue for the recreation of the scene. There was also a forensis team and a medical team, as officials were seen videographing the premises.

The CBI team, on Sunday, for the second consecutive day arrived at Sushant's residence, along with Siddharth Pithani Dipesh Sawant and Neeraj. The officers were accompanied by forensic and medical teams. They were also seen recording photos and videos at the venue.

Sushant's landlord and psychiatrist Dr Kesri Chavda are being questioned by the CBI. The CBI called the landlord to their headquarters at BKC, while another team landed at Hinduja hospital to question the doctor. Another team was present at SSR's residence in Bandra.

Sushant's flatmate Siddharth Pithani and cook Neeraj's statements did not match as they participated in the recreation of the scene at Sushant's house on the day of the actor's death. They are likely to be summoned again by the CBI.

The CBI on Sunday visited the Waterstone Resort in Mumbai, where Sushant had lived with Rhea's family last year. The officers, however, were not allowed, so they left the venue. Sushant's family in their informal complaint to Mumbai Police, about a 'threat to SSR's life', in February 2020 had claimed that Rhea's family had planned this hotel stay to 'cure him of depression.'

Sushant Singh Rajput's flatmate Siddharth Pithani was confronted by Republic TV after the recreation of the scene on June 14, by the CBI officials. Pithani avoided a comment as the reporter asked him about the details while a CBI official dropped him to his accomodation.

Meanwhile, Pithani is likely to be questioned on Sunday too. The CBI is also likely to grill Rhea Chakraborty, as well as the locksmith who opened Sushant's room on the day of his death.

After a global movement seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the Supreme Court finally cleared the decks in the mysterious case on Wednesday. The news was cheered across the world, by Sushant’s fans, family and numerous celebrities. After two months of controversies surrounding the Mumbai Police, with even Bihar Police facing hurdles on arrival to probe the case,  the CBI team arrived in Mumbai on Thursday and started their investigation on Friday swung into action straightaway. The CBI team arrived in Mumbai on Thursday evening. They  started their probe on Friday. The force was provided three Innovas. They left their accommodation at the DRDO on Friday morning. 

The CBI team divided itself into five and had a two-pronged strategy, one to investigate forensics, other to co-ordinate with Mumbai Police for evidences.

The CBI probed Sushant’s manager Samuel Miranda. The force was also seen taking his cook Neeraj for questioning in their vehicle.

The CBI officials reached the Bandra police station and seized some of the material evidences.

The CBI is likely to probe Sushant’s staff Neeraj, producer-friend Sandip Ssingh, Rhea Chakraborty’s family and SSR’s close friend Mahesh Shetty.
