Bollywood has always had great influence from the South. Some of the big faces in the industry belong to South India. Especially in terms of actresses, some of Bollywood's biggest leading ladies are south Indians. Some of the top South Indian actors who have appeared in movies of Bollywood over the years include Sridevi, Meenakshi Seshadri, Rekha, Hema Malini, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai, Rambha, Asin, Genelia D’Souza, and Deepika Padukone. Not all of these actors have had a career in the South Indian film industry which also popularly known as Tollywood, but there are some actresses who started their careers as actors in Tollywood and have now become a popular face in Bollywood too.

1) Ileana D'cruz

Ileana D'cruz debuted in Bollywood with Barfi alongside Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor. The movie was helmed by Anurag Basu and released on September 14, 2012.

2) Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu debuted in Bollywood with the film titled Chashme Baddoor alongside Ali Zafar in 2013. Taapsee's film titled Saand Ki Aankh recently released at the box office starring Bhumi Pednekar.

3) Amy Jackson

Amy Jackson first appeared in a Tamil movie titled Madrasapattinam and in Bollywood with Ekk Deewana Tha, featuring Prateik Babbar.

4) Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh is a leading South Indian film actress who has mostly appeared in Tamil and Kannada movies. She started her Bollywood career with Yaariyan followed by Aiyaary alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
