Deepika Padukone reacts on Ranveer Singh's playful Ram Leela pic

Speaking at the MAMI film festival 2019, Deepika Padukone revealed that Ram Leela is her favourite from the three Sanjay Leela Bhansali movies she has done with Ranveer Singh. When critic Rajeev Masand asked her if the two were dating then, Deepika said, "We were only flirting. There was chemistry." And a few hours later, Ranveer Singh posted a picture on his timeline (from Ram Leela sets) where he is staring at Deepika's waist and wrote 'no caption needed' for this picture.

"If you see Ranveer and I on set, we are very different than what we are otherwise. We may not even sometimes drive together because we are in a different head space. It's not on purpose. There's no expectation of behaving like husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend when you're working. On '83, I'm not thinking whether he's my husband as there's so much to think about in that moment, the scenes, the lines. Your mind is occupied and you're performing like your character and all those things come into play," said Deepika Padukone at MAMI Film Festival.

Deepika portrayed Leela in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. The critics chose the Panchayat meeting scene, which was Deepika’s first ever shot for Mr. Bhansali and also her first film with now husband, Ranveer Singh. She spoke about how stressful and unnerving it can get working with Bhansali sir’s impromptu ways of shooting a character and how she gave her best to keep up with him.

Given his fetish for changing things till the last moment, Bhansali rewrote the script of the panchayat meeting scene, just as Deepika was getting done with hair and makeup. “While the writers were cajoling me on how I could shoot it in parts. I almost broke down.” she reminisced. On working with her husband, Deepika said. “He likes to discuss work and take it home. But not me. I like to be in a different head space on the set and at home.”
