Diwali: Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor treat media with sweets; Watch video

Anil Kapoor, along with daughter Sonam Kapoor and son-in-law Anand Ahuja hosted a grand Diwali bash on Sunday at their residence. The family stepped out to distribute Diwali sweets to media standing outside their house. First came Anil Kapoor with a big tray of laddoos and later came the couple with a box of sweets for the paparazzi. Kapoor's sweet gesture sure won many hearts. Watch the video -

Photographer Viral Bhayani wrote on his Instagram handle, "The Kapoors were such gracious host last night as they took such good care of the press who came to cover the #diwalibash . First came the sweets, then the drinks, later shezwan rice and finally in the end came the tea in the morning" [sic]

Anil Kapoor's grand Diwali party was attended by many Bollywood celebrities like Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, among others. Sonam Kapoor was last seen in The Zoya Factor, which starred Dulquer Salmaan in a pivotal role. The movie was based on the novel by author Anuja Chauhan of the same name. The film was helmed by Abhishek Sharma. The film revolved around Sonam's character turning out to be a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket Team. Reportedly the performances of the lead actors were appreciated by the masses but the film failed to work wonders at the box office. The movie released in theatres on September 19, 2019. Before this, Sonam Kapoor was seen in Veere Di Wedding. The film also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in key roles.
