He also managed to bag a Grammy for the same, thus making Dr Dre a very influential person in terms of his career. Dre was already an established name in the music industry when he discovered a record that had Em’s rap performance. Dre had signed a deal with Interscope Records and was already looking to sing a new talent. As soon as he heard the Detroit-based rapper’s flow, Em was on a plane to California.
