Emraan Hashmi’s 'The Body' teaser will keep you at the edge of your seats

The first teaser of the Emraan Hashmi and Rishi Kapoor starrer The Body has finally been unveiled by the makers and it has surely left us wanting for more. The nail-biting teaser is just a brief sneak peek which also hints at a 'missing' trailer which has left hooked with anticipation. The movie also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Rukshar Rehman and South sensation Vedhika in the pivotal roles. The 'is this a teaser' or 'is this the trailer' scenario hints at a premise which consists of a missing body with a mystery lurking around in the vicinity. The film is a remake of the hit 2012 Spanish film with the same name.

The original Spanish film was directed by Oriol Paulo

It is being helmed by director Jeetu Joseph who also directed the Malayalam version of the movie Drishyam. However, the teaser has left us at the edge of our seats and now fans are eagerly waiting with bated breath for the actual trailer of the film to be unveiled. The original Spanish film has been directed by renowned filmmaker Oriol Paulo who has also directed the hit Spanish film The Invisible Guest. The movie was later remade by Sujoy Ghosh in the form of the Bollywood movie Badla which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. 

The film wrapped up within 39 days of the shoot

A few days ago, Emraan also took to his social media handle to share the poster of The Body. The actor also captioned the poster, "This December, join the search to find #TheBody. Unravel the mystery on Friday the 13th." The storyline of the film reportedly revolves around a widower whose role is being essayed by Emraan Hashmi. The dead body that has disappeared under mysterious circumstances is that of his wife. It is also said that Rishi Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of a tough cop.

In the poster of the movie, the makers have also unveiled the release date of the film. The film will hit the screens on December 13 2019. The makers of the movie reportedly had kept the film's name and release date a secret for a long time. They had decided to announce the film name and its release date soon after the shooting was wrapped up. According to reports, the film was completed within 39 days and, upon completion, the makers finally announced its release date.
