Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who is celebrated for her versatile roles has been quite outspoken about social issues. The actress recently who recorded a rap song 'Dhum Badal Ke Toh Dekho' for a radio show of the same name, recently used the platform to extend a strong message against body shaming and discrimination.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who is celebrated for her versatile roles has been quite outspoken about social issues. The actress recently who recorded a rap song 'Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho' for a radio show of the same name, recently used the platform to extend a strong message against body shaming and discrimination.

A video of the actress is going viral on the social media platforms where she can be seen recreating famous Bollywood numbers to put forward the message.  He intense expressions and mind-striking performance are sure to give you goosebumps.

In the video, she said, " Teasing someone making jokes on their size, eyes and body parts is shameful. You have no idea how much it can damage their self-confidence. It can hurt them immensely.  

"Don't make fun of anyone's colour, size or weight. Ultimately, every person is different and that's what makes them special," she concluded saying. 

On the work front, the actress will next be seen in 'Mission Mangal'. The film narrates the story of India's space mission which was launched on November 5 in 2013. Besides Taapsee, the film also stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and famous South Indian actress Nithya Menen. It is helmed by Jagan Shakti and will be produced by R. Balki. 

She will also feature in Ajith-starrer Tamil remake of the unanimously lauded ‘Pink’ starring Amitabh Bachchan. 

Meanwhile, she is also roped for Indian mathematician Shakuntala Devi's biopic. The actress will reportedly take up the lead role and will portray the mathematical genius on-screen. The project will be helmed by filmmaker Anu Menon who has previously directed movies such as 'London, Paris, New York' (2012) and 'Waiting' (2016).  The film with a tagline: "An extraordinary story of the human computer" promises to explore the life of the Indian genius who earned a place for herself in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records.
