Reports of money being taken from people in the name of Salman Khan attending an event in Bijnor city in Uttar Pradesh were abuzz after an advertisement featuring the actor and his NGO 'Being Human Foundation' appeared in the newspaper.

A poster with all the details was going viral on social media and when some people tried calling on the given number, the ticket charges were said to be approximately Rs 2,500. When some people approached the organisers to enquire about the event, they refused to acknowledge it.

And now clearing the stand, Salman Khan took to his Twitter handle and said: "Neither Being Human Foundation nor me are associated with this event in any way..."
