Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 9: Sunny Deol film beats Hrithik Roshan’s War

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has been going strong at the box office after releasing on August 11 alongside OMG 2. Coming 22 years after the first film (Gadar: Ek Prem Katha), Gadar 2 has turned out to be a massive hit. The film had entered the Rs 300 crore after entering its second weekend. Now, it has now crossed another important box office milestone.

Gadar 2 crosses lifetime collection of War

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gadar 2 has officially crossed the lifetime collection of the Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War. The action film directed by Siddharth Anand collected Rs 317.91 crore during its box office run in 2019. However, Gadar 2 has crossed its lifetime haul by minting Rs 31.07 crore on its second Saturday. Now, the total collection of the Sunny Deol starrer is Rs 336.20 crore at India box office.

Moreover, Gadar 2 is expected to cross the domestic box office collection of several Bollywood hits such as Sanju on Sunday. As per Sacnilk, the film is expected to make Rs 40 crore on Sunday, which will effectively make it the biggest 2nd Sunday collection for a Bollywood film. 

Gadar 2 becomes a blockbuster

Gadar 2 collection has been impressive given how it has only been 10 days since its release and it is already grossed Rs 330 crore plus. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1971 war between India and Pakistan.
