Abhishek Bachchan talks about box-office pressures

Given that he made his debut way back in 2000, Abhishek Bachchan is no stranger to box office failure or success. In a recent interview with Free Press Journal, he noted how being a successful actor relies on box office numbers. He noted, “If you aren’t viable at the box office, you won’t get work. Being underrated as an actor doesn’t solve the purpose if tickets aren’t being sold.”

The actor also spoke about whether releasing Ghoomer in theatres was a ‘risk’. The Guru actor claimed that it has been proven that films work because of their content and not because of the stars in it. He said, “If you make a good film, then it will work in cinemas. There’s no rocket science to it.”
