Govinda 's Road To Recovery: The 60-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital following a gunshot accident. As per reports, he was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when a bullet misfired injuring him in the leg. He was discharged today, October 4 and the doctor has shared an update on the road to his recovery.

Govinda advised bed rest

On October 4, Govinda , 60, was brought out of the hospital in a wheelchair by his family members and was seen wearing a cast on his left leg. The actor, who was accompanied by his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja, greeted the media persons as well as his fans with folded hands.

"I thank members of the press, the authorities and my fans who love me and whose wishes kept me safe, I thank them all," he said. Earlier, Sunita Ahuja told reporters that Govinda has been advised to rest for at least six weeks. "He will be discharged today. I will bring him here but he will have difficulty standing... He is fine and will start dancing again in a few days. Everyone has prayed for him and we have the blessings of Mata Rani," she said. "At home, the doctor has told him to remain on bed rest for six weeks. So, we will not allow many people because he could get infected. So, he needs to rest," she added.

Govinda expresses gratitude upon discharge 

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda has been discharged from Mumbai's CritiCare hospital after sustaining a bullet injury. On Friday afternoon, Govinda made his first public appearance following the mishap. After exiting the hospital, he spoke with media personnel and thanked his well-wishers for their prayers. "I thank everyone for their prayers... I thank CM Shinde, the police and the press. I especially thank my fans for praying so much for me. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their love," Govinda said.

Govinda was rushed to the hospital on October 1 after his licenced revolver allegedly misfired, resulting in a bullet wound to his knee. The incident took place at approximately 4:45 am on Tuesday. According to the Mumbai Police, Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata and was putting his revolver back in the cupboard when it accidentally discharged.
