A few weeks back the head of the music label T-Series, Bhushan Kumar had announced that he would be producing ‘Mogul’ a biopic on his father  Gulshan Kumar. Ever since the film has been making headlines because of its casting.

Later on, actor Aamir Khan hopped on board as co-producer. As per reports, Aamir Khan is reworking on the script. Not only the scripts, but as per reports, the makers of the film are also contemplating changing the title of the movie.

Reportedly, since Aamir Khan has become a part of the film, details of the biopic are being kept tightly under wraps and will be released in a timely fashion. The film will be directed by Subhash Kapoor and the director has been researching on the film from the past one-and-a-half years. The film will trace Gulshan Kumar's life from his college days to selling juice to becoming the game changer in the music industry.

Initially, Akshay Kumar was finalised for the role of Gulshan Kumar, and his look from the film was also unveiled. However, the ‘Singh is King’ actor recently revealed that he will no longer be a part of the film, owing to differences in the script. But, when the actor was quizzed as to who else could play the role of Gulshan Kumar, the actor said that no one beside him can play the role.

For the uninitiated, Gulshan Kumar is the man behind the T-series label. Born to a juice vendor, Kumar changed career path when his family bought a shop selling records and cheap audio cassettes. However, he met with a tragic end in 1997 when he was shot dead in Mumbai. The Mumbai underworld organization D-Company was involved in the murder. However, in 2001 Abdul Rauf  Merchant aka Raja confessed to committing the murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment a year later. Film music composer Nadeem Saifee was also accused of murder charges. Apparently, Dawood Ibrahim and Abu Salem were also planning on killing Kumar as he had failed to pay protection money to D-Company.
