Housefull 4 collection: Akshay Kumar equals Salman Khan’s record

The multi-starrer period-comedy Housefull 4 seems to be unstoppable at the box office. Reportedly, even after crossing a mark of ₹100 crore at the box office, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4 is going strong. The film saw tremendous collection in the past two days and has continued its growing trend on Wednesday as well. Housefull 4 crossed the ₹50-crore-mark in its opening weekend and crossed ₹100 crore-mark on its fifth day itself.

Housefull 4 touches the 100 crores mark

According to Box Office India, the total collection of Housefull 4 for till date is ₹124 crore approximately. Housefull 4 is the fourth installment of the original Housefull which was also a multi-starrer comedy. As per Box Office India, it has been reported that Gujarat/Saurashtra has seen ₹4 crore nett collections on Wednesday, which is phenomenal. The report also states that the collections over the last three days in Saurashtra are higher than the first three days of Baahubali: The Conclusion. As per reports, the film is nearly double of any other film in Saurashtra in terms of lifetime numbers.

Directed by Farhad Samji, Housefull 4 stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde, Johnny Lever, Chunky Panday in pivotal roles. The film released on October 25. It seems the festive season triggered the collections of this comedy. According to reports, it has been noted that Salman Khan, who had only one release till now this year, Bharat, which crossed ₹150 crore by the end of its opening weekend, held the record for most centuries at the box office. However, this time, Akshay Kumar’s comedy has made people laugh out loud while crossing the century in box office collections. Thus, Akshay has equalled Salmans' record of having 13 100-crore hits.

Recently, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle to thank fans for showering tremendous love on Housefull 4. The 52-year-old actor wrote, “Thank you for loving us and laughing with us. It is because of your love we are where we are today. Thanks to all my fans and audiences who have poured unconditional love on #HouseFull4. Thank you for showing us that nothing beats hate more than love”.

Reportedly, after Luka Chuppi, Housefull 4 is Kriti Sanon’s biggest hit of 2019. Despite two other significant releases- Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh, it is Housefull 4 that is creating magic at the ticket windows. Housefull 4 is Akshay Kumar’s fifth release in a row to touch ₹100-crore mark at the box office. His last four films, Kesari, Mission Mangal, 2.0 and Gold, all made it to the club.
