Love is indeed a beautiful emotion and one of the strongest emotions used in the Hindi film industry. A mother's love in the movies has brought the reincarnated version of her sons to life. It also made a mother kill her own son in a movie. All this just goes to show that Bollywood moms' takes on love is varied in the industry. Here are some of such takes of love that the Bollywood moms have had over the years.
Dostana
In this movie, we see John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan fall in love with Priyanka Chopra. It is a story of two straight men who pretend to be gay so that they can rent a Miami apartment. They both want the apartment because the girl love is living in the same apartment. Both try to convince Priyanka’s character that they are gay while secretly trying to win her heart. While they are pretending to have a different sexual orientation, the reaction of Kirron Kher is fantastically captured in the song above. Maa Da Laadla Bigad Gaya best defines a mother's love. Her dialogue, "Jeete raho ... phulo phalo ... khair chodo" reveals how she just wants the best for her children.
English Vinglish
Sridevi made a smooth transition from a leading young lady to being a mom. She stole viewers' hearts with her role as a wife who does not know English and learns it in the US. Her character gives up on her own dreams so that she could be there for her family, but at the end of the day she comes out as a fighter and tells a newly married couple the true meaning of love with the dialogue, "the marriage is a beautiful thing. It is the most special friendship of two people who are equal."
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Reema Lagoo, in this film, is the typical mom who loves unconditionally. He role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is of the mother who teaches Anjali the true meaning of love. The dialogues for the above-attached scene has made fans fall in love with Kajol’s character even more than before. Her line, "Har wo ghar samjhote ke balbute pe bana ho wo ghar ghar nahi makan hota hai" is still fondly recalled by fans.
