Hrithik Roshan, son of Rakesh Roshan, has often been awarded the title of 'most handsome man in the world.' Hrithik has completed 19 years in Bollywood and has given many exceptional performances over the years. Hrithik is well known for his looks and his dancing skills and has starred in more than 25 films. Here is his journey through Bollywood.
Hrithik Roshan's Bollywood journey
Before becoming an actor, Hrithik worked as an assistant director for hit movies like Karan Arjun and Koyla. He also was a part of Aasha, Aap Ke Deewane, Aas Paas, and Aasra Pyaar Da as a dancer in the background. But his first Bollywood movie as a leading man was Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai where he was seen in a double role opposite Ameesha Patel. After his first movie was a hit at the box office, he was seen in various genres of movies.
For the first few years of his career, Roshan was seen in a few drama, action, and sci-fi movies. The most memorable roles from his early career are Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Koi... Mil Gaya, and Lakshya. In Koi... Mil Gaya, he played the character of a boy who gets superpowers from a visiting alien. His performance in Koi... Mil Gaya was well appreciated by critics. During his early years in the industry, he was seen as a drama-actor more than in action-oriented roles.
From 2006, he began being seen in more action-oriented roles. He was the first Indian big-screen superhero in the movie Krrish, after which he went on to play the role of the main antagonist in the hit film series Dhoom. After this, Hrithik Roshan was seen in a period movie where he portrayed the role of Mughal emperor Akbar. He also gave a few box office misses on his way to success, including Kites and Guzaarish.
His next big hit was the Zoya Akhtar film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. After this, he stared as Vijay Deenanath Chauhan in the remake of hit movie Agneepath. Hrithik also took up the mantle of Krrish for the second time in the third installment of the film series. Later, he worked in one action movie, Bang Bang, and a period film, Mohenjo Daro. His last movie to release was Super 30 where he played the role of Anand Kumar, a man who trains 30 special students to get into IIT. Hrithik will be seen next in the now-released War and upcoming movie Krrish 4.
