According to the McAfee Most Sensational Celebrity survey 2018, D'Cruz has bagged the title of the 'most sensational celebrity' in the Indian cyberspace. She has replaced comedian and actor, Kapil Sharma, to top the list.

However, the term 'sensational' does not correspond to amazing or unusual. In the survey carried out by McAfee, the term indicated the level of risks linked to an online search of a celebrity's name. Criminals and hackers in the cyber world are aware of the power of loyal fan following of a celebrity. They misuse this to send various malware and phishing attacks. When a user searches about a celebrity online, the search results may contain unsafe links leading to malware websites.

Ileana's name has been most misused by the hackers to lead the user into the dirty world of hacks, scams and malware. The next in the list is the actress, Priyanka Chopra. She is followed by Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, and Govinda in the list.
