IN PICS | Ranveer Singh’s Sister Ritika Singh Bhavnani Arranged The Most Filmy Desserts At Her Bash For The Newlyweds

The wedding season is not over for Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone yet. The newlyweds are actually only halfway through the celebrations after becoming ‘husband and wife’ though the nuptials in Italy on 14 and 15 December. After their first official appearance in front of the media at their reception in Bengaluru on 21 November, the couple had another gathering to celebrate the marriage.

Ranveer’s sister Ritika Singh Bhavnani is the one to thank for this time, as she hosted a grand bash for the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ pair. Pictures and videos of Ranveer finally going back to his trademark colourful style after being seen in sober colours throughout his wedding and dancing his heart have been going viral.  

However, it’s actually Ritika’s beautiful arrangements that are being talked about at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. The guests arriving for the event were first greeted with a beautiful painting of Deepveer from when they posed for the cameras for the first time outside Ranveer’s residence on their arrival in Mumbai. And there was another sweet surprise, literally for the couple.

The guests were welcomed with a brilliantly creative gift box which featured desserts designed in the form of a movie reel having stills of their movies ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela.’ The clapboard on top of it had the words ‘Movie of Life’ and ‘Deepveer’ written on it, along with the date of their marriage, November 14. The ‘popcorn’ cone actually made it look like an actual movie experience. Delicious chocolates, flower petals and a personalised card with the couple’s names were the other features of the welcome.

Before the sweet welcome inside, the invitees also had a great view of the beautifully lit venue. The dance floor was also designed by Ritika perfectly in sync with the energy of her brother Ranveer, who lived up to what was expected of him. 

Ranveer and Deepika are also set to host two more receptions in Mumbai, one on 28 November and another for Bollywood stars on December 1.
