Qarib Qarib Single captures the story of Irrfan khan and Parvathy in the lead roles and this is Irrfan's funniest roles. At one instance, Irrfan Khan tells Parvathy about the three times he had loved anybody saying that "Aaj tak bhula nahi payin hai wo mujhko, aj tak tadapti hain, aj tak aansu bahati hain", to which Parvathy asks whether he is in touch with them to claim that they cry for him. Irrfan Khan replies saying "Aree pata chal jata hai". Irrfan keeps on laughing on self-made PJs and keeps making excuses for not waking up early in the morning saying "subah 6 baje to murge yoga karte hain, ap kyun uth gayi".

The scene where Irrfan Khan starts conversing with two strange British men sitting on a bench and starts abusing them in Hindi while they don't understand any part of it. Irrfan Khan is taking out his frustration on Britishers who ruled in India for many years and he finds the perfect opportunity while waiting for a marriage to start. In the film, Irrfan Khan plays Shaukat in whose van he along with Dulquer Salman and Mithila Palkar start out on a road trip.

The scene where Rimi Sen asks Irrfan Khan the typical housewife dialogue asking "Aap aj office se jaldi aa gaye" to which Irrfan Khan replies sarcastically saying "Ek kaam karta hu, main office jata hun, and tumse permission leke phir aata hu." Another instance where Rimi Sen forgets to bring saucer with the cup, Irrfan Khan taunts her by saying sarcastic things and even though it makes Rimi sen cry, the scene was super hilarious for the viewers.

Irrfan Khan Upcoming movies

Irrfan Khan will be seen in the upcoming movie Angrezi Medium which is a sequel to his 2017 movie Hindi Medium. He recently returned back to India after undergoing treatment in the UK for neuroendocrine tumour. Angrezi Medium will be directed by Homi Adajania and stars Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles among others and is scheduled for an April 2020 release.
