Ishq Visk Rebound, starring Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal, is receiving mixed reviews from the audience.
Ishq Visk Rebound, starring Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal, has finally hit the theatres. The movie serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2003 film Ishq Vishk, starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. It's been hours since the movie debuted on the silver screen and the reviews so far on social media are "decent".
Ishq Visk Rebound first impression
The theatres are seemingly witnessing less footfall despite the huge promotions done by the stars. The reviews on X are slow, but it has given the impression that it is both good and bad. A user shared that the makers attempted to present Gen Z's perspective with millennial actors. Jibraan outshined Rohit who is "stuck in his Noah Centineo bubble," as per the user. "Attempt at a Gen Z perspective. Portrayed by millennial actors. Produced & created by boomers. I liked Jibraan. Rohit is stuck in his Noah Centineo bubble still. Dances brilliantly. The rest of it is well…Forgettable," read the post.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh's one-word review is "decent". In his review, he wrote that the movie is riding on Rohit's shoulder, who has given several successful movies. Speaking about Jibraan, who is making his debut as a lead actor, Adarsh wrote that he has the "makings of a wonderful actor" and is also "blessed with a magnetic screen presence". However, he said that Jibraan deserved more screen time. Debutant Pashmina has delivered "uneven performance," as per Adarsh. "Acts well at times, but displays awkwardness at places. Naila Grrewal is a complete natural; again, deserved more footage," he wrote.
In the sea of mixed responses, a user gave one star out of five and called the movie, "Insufferable, Vitriolic and Reprehensible".
