No mention of Kangana, BMC in Uddhav's address
CM Uddhav Thackeray spoke about COVID, launched a new 'my family, my responsibility' campaign, addressed issues like farm-loan waivers, Maratha quota and floods, but didn't speak about other key factors such as the BMC's actions on Kangana's office, his party's attack on the actor and the Mumbai Police's involvement in the Sushant death probe. He had, however, started his speech by talking about how there was an attempt to defame the state and to not construe his silence as a weakness.

All eyes on CM Uddhav's address
Amid a faceoff with actor Kangana Raut and facing severe flak for the course of investigation in the SSR probe, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will address the state via video conference at 1 pm on Sunday, a statement from CMO said. The reason for holding a news conference is not known. However, the decision comes at a time when the Coronavirus cases in the state have crossed the 1 million mark and he is also facing enormous criticism over the actions of administrative bodies and the political party under his aegis.
It also remains to be seen whether the Chief Minister will break silence on the assault of the retired navy officer Madan Sharma.
The Chief Minister is also tight-lipped on the Kangana Ranaut vs Shiv Sena spat which escalated after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation razed a portion of the actor’s Mumbai office, alleging that it was built illegally.
