Kareena Kapoor & Saif Ali Khan: From co-stars to lovers

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have almost completed seven years of their marriage. Since then, they have been setting couple goals for their fans. As they near their seventh marriage anniversary, their fans reminisce about how Saif Ali Khan proposed to Kareena Kapoor. The proposal 

Kareena had expressed her secret crush on the Nawab of Pataudi while shooting for Tashan. Saif proposed to Kareena in Paris just like Saif’s father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had proposed to Sharmila Tagore, the veteran actor and Saif’s mother, in Paris. Kareena told the host of an Indian talk show about how Saif proposed to her. While speaking to the host, Bebo expressed that they both were on a holiday in Paris, months after they met each other. Saif’s first proposal to Kareena was at the Ritz Hotel in Paris.

Kareena elaborated on how the proposal happened. Kareena and Saif were reportedly in a bar in the hotel when Saif first proposed to her. Bebo denied the proposal at first. On the same holiday, they both were on a visit to the Notre Dame Church. There, Saif again proposed to the diva and this time Bebo expressed that she wanted some time to think about it. After two days, she accepted the proposal. After a five-year-long wait, both got married at the Taj Mahal Hotel on October 16, 2012. The ceremony went on for a week where they hosted the Sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies.

Their time together in Bollywood

Before becoming a couple, the pair had shared the big screen a few times. Their first movie together was LOC: Kargil in 2003. After which they were seen together in the 2006 action drama film Omkara. In 2007, during the shooting of Tashan, Kareena and Saif got close to each other. From that moment the friction of love was seen between them. The news of Kareena and Saif dating was also reported during that time. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, after getting into the relationship also, have worked in movies together. The last movie before their marriage was Agent Vinod. They also gave voices to characters of an animated film called Roadside Romeo.
