After Kareena Kapoor's first film Refugee, she had her series of hits and flops in her career. Here are her top five movies that didn't quite impress audiences

Kareena Kapoor is majorly known for her quintessence in acting and no-nonsense attitude. She shot to fame with her debut movie Refugee, back in 2000. Since then, there has been no looking back for her. Her iconic character 'Poo' in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham won many hearts in the country. Just like any profession, the actress has had her series of hits and flops. Here are Kareena Kapoor’s five movies that fell a little short.

Kareena Kapoor’s five movies that did not do well with the audience

1. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein: Although Bebo was showered with praises for her performance in the film, the plot of the film was panned by many. Punit Malhotra’s directorial, starring Kareena and Imran Khan, deals with the story of a Tamilian architect falling for a Punjabi social activist ‘Diya Sharma’. Eventually, the two-part ways due to the difference in their ideologies. The movie revolves around Irfan trying to win Kareena’s heart in a small village ‘Jhumli’.

2. Fida: Starring Kareena and Fardeen Khan, Fida was considered a big flop in Bebo’s career. It was said that the audience could not even sit for the whole movie. Many termed the end of the movie as 'shattering' and 'extremely unpleasant.' Bebo’s role in the film was called 'dumb' by the critics.

3. Kyon Ki: The movie got together Kareena with Salman Khan for the first time on screen. Most of the reviews said that a major part of the film did not look pitiable at all and that it just sapped an emotional tangent, making the plot undesirably slow. In it, Kareena portrays the role of a doctor who tries to cure Salman and ultimately falls in love with him.

4. Kurbaan: Kareena and Saif Ali Khan’s on-screen chemistry in the film grabbed a lot of eyeballs. The film chronicles the love story of Avantika (played by Kareena) and her professor Ehsaan Khan(essayed by Saif). The two get married and settled in New York. As the next course of the event unfolds, Avantika realises that she is caught in a terror family. Though a lot of viewers found the story interesting, reportedly, they were completely clueless because of its 'abrupt ending.'

5. Ki and Ka: Kareena shared the screen with Arjun Kapoor in the film. The story highlights the complexity faced by men, who do not like working outdoors. She played the role of self-made women who inherited the potentials of men in Indian society. The film received a truckload of negative reviews, and perhaps was Bebo’s major flop.

Kareena Kapoor has three films lined up in her kitty for 2019-20. The upcoming movies of Kareena Kapoor include Good Newwz, alongside Akshay Kumar and Angrezi Medium, where she will play the role of a cop for the first time.
