Kareena Kapoor is undoubtedly one of the iconic actors of Bollywood. With her role in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kareena stunned everyone as she played the role of Poo in the film. Bebo thereafter has given aa plethora of hit films throughout her career in Bollywood. She has possibly worked with most of the iconic actors of Bollywood from Amitabh Bachchan to Salman Khan.
Kareena’s initial years and movies in Bollywood
Kareena Kapoor has worked in around 50 Bollywood movies and still continues to work in several movies. She started her acting career with Refugee that released in 2000. It marked the debut of Kareena as well as Abhishek Bachchan. Refugee also starred Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty and Anupam Kher. The film is inspired by the story of a short story titled ‘Love Across the Salt Desert’ by Kekki N. Daruwalla. Kareena also won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. The film was also the fifth highest-grossing film of that year. One of her another most talked about movies of her initial years in Bollywood is Aśoka starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Kareena stole our hearts when she played the role of Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Kareena as Poo was major fashion and style goals. Kareena wore Poo’s outfits with sheer grace and ease that a lot of people still identify her as Poo irrespective of the amount of work she’s done in the industry. She was also nominated for the Filmfare award for best-supporting actor for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
She also received a Filmfare award for Special Performance in Chameli which released in 2004. The movie also starred Rahul Bose. Another movie that she won a Filmfare for was Dev which also released in 2004. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri and Fardeen Khan.
Kareena will next be seen in Good Newwz alongside Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and the Kabir Singh actor Kiara Advani which is set to release on December 27, 2019.
