Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranveer Singh to finally act together in Takht

Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer Takht is a much-anticipated Karan Johar film. The film is produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films. It stars a number of actors like Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhat, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and many more. The plot of the film revolves around the lives of two brothers, Aurangzeb and Dara Shukoh, who end up in a conflict for the throne. The music of the film is by A.R. Rahman, which has further raised expectations from the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan was approached for a number of films opposite Ranveer Singh, but they but did not take off as expected. The actor was the first choice for the role of 'Leela' in Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela. However, the actor reportedly backed out ten days prior to take-off. Kareena Kapoor Khan was also offered the role of 'Farah Ali' opposite Ranveer Singh's character in the Zoya Akhtar film Dil Dhadakne Do. Anushka Sharma went on the play the role. Another film that Kareena Kapoor Khan was pitched for was the 2015 hit Bajirao Mastani. However, that did not work out either. It was later that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were pitched for the film. The Ranveer-Kareena duo has now finally come together for Takht. Ranveer Singh has already confessed that he is a fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan and is excited about the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan also mentioned in an interview with a media portal that she was honoured to work with Ranveer Singh. The shooting of Takht is expected to start in 2020.
