Kareena Kapoor Khan has an interesting lineup of movies in the pipeline for 2019 like Angrezi Medium, Good Newwz, Takht, and, Laal Singh Chaddha. Kareena Kapoor Khan is among the most popular actors in the Hindi film Industry. She marked her debut in Bollywood with J.P Dutta’s critically acclaimed Refugee in 2000. Since then she has come a long way and has proved her mettle time and again, with dozens of commercially successful movies like 3 Idiots, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Jab We Met and more. However, the actor has also done films which did not perform well in the box-office.
List of Kareena Kapoor Khan's movies that tanked at the box-office:
- Yaadein (2001): Several critics have opined that Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein failed miserably at the box-office due to its weak editing and confusing story plot. Despite the popular songs and sizzling onscreen chemistry of the lead pair Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film did not do well at the box-office.
- Khushi (2003): Kareena Kapoor essayed the role of Khushi, a small-town girl who falls in love with Karan (Fardeen Khan) who is an urban boy. Both of them try to work out their relationship, but they fail to do so due to their egoistic personalities. Neither the story nor the lead pair’s chemistry managed to impress the audience.
- Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon(2003): It was a love-triangle story between Prem Kishan (Hrithik Roshan), Sanjana (Kareena Kapoor Khan), and Prem Kumar (Abhishek Bachchan). Bebo’s performance in the film was highly criticised by the audience and the critics and was termed as over-the-top. The film was made under Rajshree Production, and bombed at the box-office.
- Kyon Ki (2005): This Kareena Kapoor Khan and Salman starrer was in the list of the most awaited films of 2005, but the film had a disappointing run at the box-office when it released. Critics have expressed that the lack of a strong script and hard-hitting performances prevented the movie from converting it into a commercial success.
- Kambakth Ishq (2009): One of the most expensive films ever made in Bollywood during the 2000-2010 decade, full of lavish sets, exotic locations, and designer outfits, it failed to make its mark on the box-office. Even guest appearances of popular Hollywood actors like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Whoopi Goldberg could not help save the film from bombing at the theatres.
