The film was a huge commercial success at the box-office; it is the third highest-grossing Indian film and the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film, with an estimated worldwide gross of ₹969.06 crores. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was the recipient of the 2015 National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
2. 3 Idiots (2015)
3 Idiots was Rajkumar Hirani's third directorial film and was released on Christmas Day, 2009. The film starred Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Boman Irani in the pivotal roles. Upon release, the film was a blockbuster at the box-office and set numerous records, which have since been broken. The estimated worldwide gross of the film stood at ₹459.96 crores, and it was the first Bollywood film to breach the ₹200 crore mark at the box-office.
3. Bodyguard (2011)
Bodyguard was a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name and released on Eid, 2011. The romantic-comedy featured Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles. Upon release, the film met with dismal critical reviews but was a blockbuster at the box-office. The film eventually grossed ₹144 crores by the end of its theatrical run at the domestic box-office.
