Katrina Kaif: The actor opens up on overcoming her 'Hindi' barrier

Katrina Kaif may have been an outsider when she entered Bollywood, but slowly and steadily, the actress has made a mark for herself in the industry. At the beginning of her career, the actress was not well recognised because of the not-so-known movies that she did, but today, Katrina Kaif is one of the A-list and highest-paid female actors in the industry. From co-actors to critics, everyone has praised Katrina for her hard work. The biggest barrier while entering the Hindi film industry for the actor was reportedly the language barrier. The inability to speak in shuddh Hindi was something that Katrina was always trolled for. But, instead of getting demotivated, the Bharat actress took it as a challenge to improve. When asked about the difficulty in overcoming the Hindi barrier, the actor had a few things to say. She also said that she really wishes her first language was Hindi, as it would have made things a little easier for her. The best way Katrina has to overcome this problem is thinking in English and then translating her thoughts in Hindi. She has worked really hard in order to improve on this particular obstacle but still has a long way to go. The actress says that she has always spoken in English and the only people she talks to in Hindi are the ones who have been working at her house for many years. She constantly keeps practices her tongue in Hindi with them. Katrina says that everyone has their own battles. For some it might be dancing, something she is really good at. Likewise, even though Hindi isn’t very difficult to learn, it is a hurdle for Katrina that she has, and will continue to, overcome. She worked alongside Salman Khan in the movie. The actress is will be next appearing in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi opposite Akshay Kumar. The movie will be releasing on March 27, 2020. Reportedly, Katrina will also be seen in Raajneeti 2 and Aditya Dhar’s next film. News hasn’t been confirmed yet and the release date for both the films have not been revealed as of now.
