After Anurag Kashyap, Rajkummar Rao promises help to 'Patiala House' actor Savi Sidhu, who is currently working as a watchman in a residential complex in Malad.

'Gulaal', 'Patiala House', 'Black Friday' and 'Bevakoofiyan' actor Savi Sidhu is currently working as a watchman in a residential complex in Malad. The actor recently shared his story in a 5-min video by Film Companion where he revealed that he has not given up on his dreams yet and is waiting for his bank balance to rise so that he can once again meet directors/producers to get some work.
The video of the actor' story has gone viral on the internet as netizens have shared it widely mourning his plight. Joining the bandwagon was 'Stree' actor Rajkummar Rao, who took to Twitter and extended a message for him promising help for his end. He took to Twitter and wrote, Very inspired by your story Savi Sidhu sir. Have always admired ur work in all ur films. Love ur positivity. Will def ask all my casting friends to reach out to u. Thank u @FilmCompanion for sharing his story. Perseverance is the key to overcoming obstacles."

Savi Sidhu who started his journey with Anurag Kashyap's film, in the recent video, said, "Anurag Kashyap mile struggle karte karte toh mujhe Paanch mei liya, unki jo pehli film thi release nahi hui. Uske baad unhone mujhe Black Friday mei liya, one of the main characters that is Commissioner Samra ka role kiya maine then unke sath maine Gulaal bhi kari. Maine Yash Raj, Subhash ji ke sath, Nikhil Advani ke sath Patiala House kari [sic]"
Savi broke down when he shared details about his personal life. He said: "Sabse tough phase wo tha when i lost my wife. Then I lost my father, mother, my in-laws and other family members too. Akela hote hote, alone."
Talking about his current job as a security guard at a Malad's residential building, he said: "It's a mechanical job. Tough. 12 hours, it's quite tough. Mere pas bus ke paise nahi hain apne director producers ko milne ke aise halat hain. Ja ke film dekhna toh mere liye dream hai abhi. Bohot filme miss kar raha hoon... dekhne ka mann karta hai par meri financial position aisi hai."
The actor concluded by saying: "I am highly influenced by Amit ji and Dharam ji. But people told me that I will have to make my own identity. Isliye fir bhoot utar gaya. Now, I am working as a watchman at a building in Malad with a hope that my bank balance will increase and I am hopeful they will give me a chance. I know they will not say No. I have always received a positive response from them. They are waiting for me, mai aa raha hoon."
