Ayushmann Khurrana is currently gearing up for the release of his next film, Bala. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and bankrolled by Maddock films. Bala is a satirical take on premature balding. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. The film is slated to release on November 7, 2019.

Maddock's take on Halloween for Bala's promotion

Recently, on the occasion of Halloween, Bala’s production company Maddock Films put up a post on social media. The post played with the phrase ‘Trick or treat’, which is commonly used during Halloween. The picture said that life has been tricking Ayushmann, i.e, Bala but when will it treat him. Ayushmann Khurrana has been experimenting with various pop culture elements for the promotion of the film. Bala recently received a lot of backlash when Bhumi Pednekar released her look from the movie. She was seen wearing dark makeup and tossing away fairness products. Netizens asked the makers why they did not just cast a dark-skinned person instead of putting dark makeup on a fair actress.
