When asked to share her thoughts on Priyanka and Nick's age gap, the doctor and mother to the former Miss World was quick to dismiss any importance surrounding the same. A rough translation of what she originally shared in Hindi, reads, 'It simply does not matter. The man is nice, the girl is nice, they both care for each other, that's all. Nothing...'

As a matter of fact, Madhu Chopra never even took the age gap as a factor to consider when looking at Nick as her potential son-in-law. She went on, 'I never saw it from that perspective. I was so happy, ecstatic. Those who want to comment can keep commenting.'

The same interview also saw Madhu Chopra reveal how Nick won her over, asking for Priyanka's hand in marriage. Madhu shared how on a solo lunch with her, Nick promised to be the person Madhu needed him to be, in order to have her permission to marry Priyanka. 

She said, "When he came to India and met me, he took me to lunch when Priyanka was not around. Nick asked me what kind of boy I would want for Priyanka. So, I listed all the qualities, and he simply took my hand and said, 'I am that guy. Can I be that person? I promise that nothing from your list will be left unchecked.' "
