It was just days ago that Roger Federer surprised Indians by asking for suggestions of Bollywood movies. Could he be so inspired to do a Bollywood dance step, that too on the tennis court? No, but the legend was caught inadvertently doing Madhuri Dixit Nene’s iconic Maar Dala step from Devdas. Even the veteran actor gave her thumbs up to a creative netizen who made a meme of it.
A netizen made a funny meme from a moment when Roger Federer fell on the court during the recent Shanghai Masters. While the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s racquet fell off his hands, his hands were on the ground and his face tilted downwards and legs spread. In other words, this was just the same pose of Madhuri Dixit Nene from the song Maar Dala from Devdas. The Twitter user created a collage of the replica moments and captioned it, “Who did it better? @rogerfederer or @MadhuriDixit? #ShanghaiMasters #Devdas” The Dil Toh Pagal Star was extremely impressed and wrote, “Haha hilarious!”

While Federer went on win that match, he exited from the tournament on Friday, after losing to Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-3. Federer also lost his cool during the press conference later on. When asked about losing a point penalty for receiving a code violation for hitting the ball into the stands and another for flicking the ball into the air, he snapped, “So you could write on Twitter, you mean?” Federer answered, “No, it would be nice to write something nice once also about the game. Next question.”

Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit Nene featured in the multi-starrer Kalank. In fact, Madhuri had a Maar Dala-like song in the movie titled Tabah Ho Gaye, which didn’t leave the same impact like its predecessor and the movie too tanked at the box office. However, she tasted success earlier this year with Total Dhamaal, which earned over Rs 150 crore at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, Madhuri is also busy with her production ventures. She, along with her husband Sriram Nene, launched a Marathi production Panchak. The actor shared snaps from the launch event recently where she is posing with the clapboard. Madhuri Dixit Nene also judged the dance-based reality show Dance Deewane, that concluded last month.
