Meet Stree 2 Villain Sarkata Aka Sunny Jatt, Kashmiri 'Giant' Taller Than The Great Khali

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 is making waves at the box office. The movie has surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark in just five days and is now eyeing to reach the Rs 500 crore club this week. Amid this, movie buffs are eager to know who played the role of a headless villain called Sarkata in the horror comedy. Interestingly, he is an athlete from Jammu and Kashmir, who is popularly known as the Great Khali of Jammu. Read on to know more about him.

Meet Sunil Kumar who played Sarkata in Stree 2

Sunil Kumar aka Sunny Jatt (as per his Instagram profile) played the role of Sarkata in Stree 2. Director Amar Kaushik, during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, shared that his casting team found Kumar and they finalised him based on his height and physique. The director added that they used body shots of Kumar, while the face of Sarkata was generated through CGI.

Kumar has also shared several photos posing with Rajkummar and Tamannaah Bhatia (who played a cameo role) from the sets of Stree 2.

According to his Instagram handle, Kumar mostly spends his time playing volleyball and handball. He was part of the WWE Tryout in 2019.

Stree 2 box office collection day 5

On Monday, Amar Kaushik’s directorial performed exceptionally well in mass circuits, particularly due to the Raksha Bandhan holiday. Stree 2 minted ₹37 crores on the fifth day, taking the total collection to ₹228.45 crores, according to early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Stree 2 had an overall 49.48 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday with the maximum reported in Jaipur (72.75 per cent). Apart from Shraddha and Rajkummar, the movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.
