Nusrat Jahan: Here is the movie list of the actress-turned-politician

Nusrat Jahan Ruhi is a Bengali actor who notably works in Bengali movies. She made her debut in the movie industry in 2011, with the movie, Shotru. After a number of hit films like Khoka 420, Khiladi, Sondhe Namar Agey and Power in Tollywood, Nusrat Jahan turned to politics and is a current Member of the Parliament. The actor, Nusrat Jahan, won the beauty pageant of  Miss Kolkata in 2010.

Actor turned politician, Nusrat Jahan 

Nusrat Jahan gave back to back hits with her films, Khoka 420 and Khiladi in 2013. She made a special appearance in the movie Action with an item song, ‘Chicken Tandoori’ and later in the movie Yoddha: The warrior with the song Desi Chhori, in 2014. Nusrat Jahan did films like Sondhey Namar Age (2014), Jamai 420 (2015), Har Har Byomkesh(2015), Power(2016), Kelor Kirti (2016), Love Express(2016), Zulfiqar(2016), Haripada Bandwala (2016),One(2017), Ami Je Ke Tomar (2017), Bolo Dugga Maiki (2017), Uma (2018), Crisscross (2018), and Naqaab (2018). Although being actively involved in politics, the actor also acts in films. Her upcoming film Asur will be releasing in December, later this year. She will also be seen in the film Seven, which will be releasing in 2020.

In March 2019, Nusrat Jahan joined the Trinamool Congress Party in WestBengal. The announcement of this was made by Chief Minister of Bengal and the President of Trinamool Congress party, Mamta Banerjee. She contested the general elections of 2019 from Basirhat Lok Sabha Constituency. She emerged victorious with a margin of 350,000 votes against BJP candidate Sayatan Basu. Nusrat Jahan is now a Member of the Parliament.

Nusrat Jahan tied a knot to her longtime boyfriend Nikhil Jain, earlier this year. Nusrat Jahan keeps posting photos of her life and everything on her Instagram and makes sure that she connects with her fans.
