Panipat cast is studded with many veteran actors of Indian cinema

Panipat is a historical period film directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar based on the third battle of Panipat. It is the most anticipated war movie in 2019 that shall hit the box-office on December 6. Here is all you need to know about the film and the star cast of the epic movie Panipat:

Zeenat Aman will also be seen resuming her passion for acting by joining the star cast of Panipat. The legendary actor will be essaying the role of Sakina Begum. Panipat is not the first directorial venture of Gowarikar starring Zeenat Aman. He has worked with the director before in the film Gawaahi (1989) and reportedly takes it as a privilege to be directing the actor again years later.

The winner of three Filmfare awards, Padmini Kolapuri will be seen bringing the role of Gopika Bai to life. Gopika Bai was the daughter of Bhikaji Naik Raste of Wai. Since not much information about the historic characters could be found, the director reportedly had to sail the boat with the help of his visions about the film. Gowarikar also worked relentlessly for sketching these roles out flawlessly making them as realistic as possible.

Mohnish Bahl will be seen playing the role of Balaji Baji Rao. He who was appointed as Peshwa of the Marathi army in 1740 upon the death of his illustrious father, the Peshwa Bajirao I. Mohnish Bahl has delivered many brilliant performances on-screen over the course of his long career in India. His performances on the small screen with serials like Kuchh Toh Log Kahenge have also been widely appreciated.

Ravindra Mahajani, a prominent Marathi actor will be seen playing the role of Malhar Rao Holkar. He is well known for his contribution to Marathi Cinema. From the late seventies to the mid-eighties, Mahajani was the reigning superstar of the Marathi film industry.
