Pankaj Tripathi starrer Main Atal Hoon to release on January 19, new posters unveiled

Pankaj Tripathi starrer Main Hoon Atal will explore three-time Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's childhood and extraordinary political journey.

Pankaj Tripathi, who is gearing up for his next film biopic titled Main Atal Hoon, unveiled the new posters of the film on Tuesday, November 28. Along with the posters, he announced the release date of the film. The film is based on India's three-time Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

When will Main Atal Hoon release?

The National Award-winning actor shared the news on his Instagram handle and revealed that the film will hit the theatres on January 19. He has dropped four posters in which we can see Pankaj transformed into the late leader. The text on the posters read, "The poet who rewrote history".

In the caption, he wrote, "Heart of Gold... Man of Steel... A versatile Poet... The visionary behind the New India. Witness the story of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, #MainATALHoon in cinemas 19th January 2024."

In July, Pankaj Tripathi announced the film wrap on his social media handle and shared a BTS  clip, a glimpse of the actor as Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The film was shot in 45 days across locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur and Lucknow promises to take the viewers through Atal Bihari Vajpayee's childhood and extraordinary political journey. He captioned the post in Hindi: "This Atal journey will always be remembered and cherished. I feel lucky to portray the illustrious personality of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji on the big screen."

He also opened up about playing the role and said, “Getting a chance to play the role of our great leader, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an honour in itself. We went through rigorous reading sessions, to understand the dialect, his lifestyle and his vision for India."

Written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav and helmed by Ravi, known for National Award-winning movies such as Natarang and Balgandharva. Produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh and Kamlesh Bhanushali.The music has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman.
