After much anticipation, the trailer of Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday's Pati, Patni Aur Woh released on Monday. However, a marital rape monologue was delivered by the lead of the film which did not sit well with fans & netizens. And now reportedly, the makers have now stated that they got 'carried away' while assigning the dialogue and have now decided to edit out the controversial dialogue from the final cut of Pati, Patni Aur Woh. The makers went on to say that Aaryan's monologue in Pyaar Ka Punchnama was a hit, and they tried to pull off the same in the film, but since they have realized its offensive, they have decided to weed it out from the final cut.

Kartik Aaryan (Chintu Tyagi) tells his friend, played by Aparshakti Khurana: "Biwi se sex maang lein, toh hum bhikaari. Biwi ko sex naa de, toh hum atyaachari. Biwi ko sex mana kar dein, toh hum atyachaari aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke uss se sex haasil kar lein na toh balaatkaari bhi hum hain."
