She is the daughter of Bollywood actor Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of the legendary actress Nutan. Pranutan recently shared a throwback picture of her father on her Instagram account which caught the attention of netizens

Mohnish Bahl took to the comments section and called his elder daughter his 'bestest gal'. Mohnish has two daughters Pranutan and Krishaa. Pranutan jokingly replied to her father's comment saying that she couldn't wait to show this comment to her sister. Mohnish Bahl shared a few more details about the picture. He shared that the picture was taken approximately 35 years back in 1984. He further added that his old friend Gautam Rajadhyaksha, who passed away, had clicked this picture. The throwback picture shared by Pranutan features a young Monish Bahl with a ripped physique. Mohnish Bahl also shared the picture on his Instagram account and joked about not being able to get the physique he had then. Many television personalities have commented on the picture.
Netizens wrote that the picture stating that they admire and adore the star. Many wrote that the star has aged very well and that he has only improved over the years. Many remember him from the role he played in the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain and have stated that their admiration of his acting started then. Mohnish Bahl plays the role of a doctor in a television show, Sanjivani, which is based on the life of doctors.
