Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child in September later this year. On Wednesday, the makers of her upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD organised a pre-release event in Mumbai, which was attended by the Piku actress, Kamal Haasan and other cast members from the Nag Ashwin directorial.

Deepika is currently in the 2nd trimester of her pregnancy. For the Kalki 2898 AD event, she opted for a black, body-hugging outfit. Ahead of the gathering, she dropped a picture on social media in which she flaunted her baby bump. Earlier, the actress was on the receiving end of criticism as social media users alleged that her baby bump was "fake". Her latest picture is a befitting reply to trolls as well. The picture she shared appeared hazy.

Deepika Padukone will be seen in a pivotal role in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, set to release on June 27. At the event, she posed with the team of Kalki 2898 AD on stage.
