Radhika Apte, known for her amazing line of work and variety of roles in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and English-language projects, opened up about her personal life and her wedding day. Radhika, who is married to London-based musician Benedict Taylor, in an interview with Femina magazine said that while growing up, she never wanted to get married. Radhika, who had a registered marriage, said that commitment can happen without marriage but she now sees why it is a sacred thing for people. She understands the 'celebration of unity' and 'value of taking vows'.
She revealed that she wore her grandmother's old saree for her registered wedding and it had a lot of holes in it. But she still wore it because 'she is one of her favourite people on the planet'. On being asked her favourite function from the Indian wedding, she said - Sangeet. She revealed that at her wedding, they gave all the guests seeds and asked them to plant a tree with them.
