Rajkumar Hirani, known for his famous movies like PK and Munna Bhai MBBS, has been in the Bollywood industry for over 15 years. But, this director has directed only five films so far. In many interviews with prestigious media houses, Rajkumar Hirani was asked on what takes him so long to make a film. To which the director replied that it takes years to write, make a film and edit. Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003)

Munnabhai MBBS was the first film Rajkumar Hirani had directed. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. The story is about a goon who sets out to fulfil his father’s dream of becoming a doctor. The film was a hit at the box office and was equally appreciated by the audience and the critic. This kick-started Rajkumar Hirani's career in Bollywood as a director.

Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006)

Lage Raho Munna Bhai was the sequel of the film Munna Bhai MBBS. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan, this film is about a don who is smitten by a radio jockey and showcases himself as a Gandhian, just to woo her. Since the previous film was a hit, people had high hopes from this film and it went on to become a blockbuster. The third and the last film of the Munna Bhai series is likely to be released next year.

3 Idiots (2009)

Starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi, 3 idiots is about three engineering students and their life race in terms of career. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this film became a super hit at the box office by crossing ₹400 crores.

P.K. 2014

Starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, P.K was a film about an alien who lands on Earth and loses his device. He meets a reporter, who helps him in finding his device, which can get him back to his planet. The film crossed the mark of ₹800 crores by becoming the highest-grossing film.

Sanju 2018

A biopic made on the life of Sanjay Dutt, Sanju starred Ranbir Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Anushka Sharma. Sanjay Dutt had always made his way to the headlines because of link-ups with the underworld and his addiction to illegal stuff. The role of Sanjay Dutt played by Ranbir Kapoor was remarkable and appreciated by many. It became the highest-grossing film with a collection of more than ₹500 crores.
