Ranveer Singh is ready to collaborate with this actor for ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’, feels it’d be ‘enriching’ experience

There has been buzz over Ranveer Singh starring in the sequel of Salman Khan-Aamir Khan starrer cult classic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ after he sort of self-cast himself. Moreover, his ‘Simmba’ director Rohit Shetty reportedly felt he should pair up with Ranbir Kapoor in the movie. Reacting to the speculation, the actor said that the sequel will be a tough task and expressed willingness to work with Ranbir.

In a recent interview when asked about the possibility of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ with Ranbir, Ranveer responded that it will be difficult for the sequel to live up to the original as it was a cult film. The actor added that it was a ‘big’ responsibility' as it was among the ‘timeless comedies’.  

The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ star further stated that he is keen on working with Ranbir as the latter is one of his favourite actors. Ranveer further stated that there have been opportunities for the duo to come together for a film, but he hoped something soon could work out. The actor concluded by saying that collaborating with the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ star will be an ‘enriching’ experience for him. 

The speculation about Ranveer starring in ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ had started when a fan during his #AskSimmba session on Twitter had asked if he intended to work in an out-and-out comedy. The actor had replied he was looking forward to working in the genre and was hoping for ‘something crackling’. He ended his post by writing ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ but added a question mark on it.

Both Ranbir and Ranveer had a great 2018 on the professional front, with the former’s ‘Sanju’ and the latter’s ‘Padmaavat’ entering the Rs 300-crore club. Ranveer’s ‘Simmba’ has also started well with Rs 20 crore coming on the first day. No doubt if 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' works out with the duo, it will be huge.
