Taapsee Pannu reveals her thoughts on her transformation to famed sharpshooter
Taapsee Pannu, known for taking on daunting and myth-shattering roles, has been making headlines these days with her upcoming movie Saand Ki Aankh where she is seen getting into the shoes of Prakashi Tomar, an octogenarian sharpshooter. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar as Chandro Tomar and raises the air pistol for a movie on two sharpshooter Dadis together. In a recent interview with a leading daily, the actress made clear some details about her role in the movie, her transition, and how she faced the challenges involved in getting her character right.
Taapsee Pannu learned to stack up a set of bricks and place it on her head as she marched in the fields because her character owned the family business of making bricks. She also had to blend in with the rural culture and learn to do household chores such as cow milking, butter producing, and hay cutting. Interestingly, Taapsee faced some trouble with speaking the right language. The difference between khadi boli, a fusion between Hindi and Haryanvi, nd Hindi had to be bridged. Her pronunciation only changed when she went to Johri and communicated with the locals.
The film is all set to be released in cinema halls on October 25, 2019, and fans are anticipating incredible performances. Taapsee and Bhumi are now ready to set new benchmarks.
