When the film was first released in 2017, audiences felt a wide range of emotions, from extreme joy to deep love, as they watched the story of the God of Cricket. As the film celebrated its seventh anniversary on Monday, producer Ravi Bhagchandka shared some interesting facts about Sachin Tendulkar.

Ravi reveals how long it took him to convince Sachin For the film

In an interview with The Free Press Journal, Ravi Bhagchandka revealed that it took him a lot of time to convince Sachin Tendulkar for the film. He said, "It took me a lot of time to convince him since I didn’t know him well. I had to contact my coach Paras Mamre, who was his childhood friend and he got in touch with his team. I even chased his manager for around 8-10 months. It took me additional 8-9 months to present the idea to him. In total, it took me approximately 24 months to start the project."

Ravi pens heartfelt note as Sachin: A Billion Dreams clocks 7 years

Ravi Bhagchandka took to his Instagram handle to pen a note as his film Sachin: A Billion Dreams completed seven years of its release. He said, "Master, as we fondly call him, has been the biggest inspiration, our childhood hero. Bringing the story of this legend to life as an autobiographical documentary has been the most challenging yet rewarding decision."

He further wrote, "He has been a ray of hope for a billion, the God of cricket. It took me 8 months to convince Sir and 4.5 years for us to bring this to life. But it was truly worth the wait. Thank you, @sachintendulkar, for allowing us to be the voice of your story. There is no one like you, and there never will be.#7YearsOfSachinABillionDreams. Grateful to the Tendulkar family for their tremendous support then and ever since."
