Biography

Abdul Rashid Salman Khan, popularly known as Salman Khan is the son of the legendary writer Salim Khan. He was born on December 27, 1965, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.  His mother is Salma Khan and he has two younger brothers and two sisters. Salman Khan's brothers are Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and Arpita Khan Sharma and Alvira Khan are his sisters. Salman Khan started his acting career in 1988 by doing a supporting role in the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi.  His first leading role in Bollywood is in the movie Sooraj Barjatya’s Maine Pyar Kiya. It became was one of India’s highest-grossing movies.  He did leading roles in many movies. Apart from movies, Salman Khan has hosted many television hows and Award Functions.

Awards and Recognitions

Salman Khan has a list of most popular awards and nominations. He got Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Actor Male for his movie Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) Salman Khan succeded in winning the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his extended guest appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Screen Award for Best Actor for his performance in Dabangg (2012) and the Best Actor Popular Choice for his performances in Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2. He obtained Golden Lotus Award for his movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

Actor, Producer, Singer

Salman Khan is not merely an actor he is a producer and a singer too. He started his own production company named SKBH Productions (Salman Khan Being Human Productions) in 2011.  Chillar Party, Dr Cabbie, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Hero, Tube Light, Notebook and Kapil Sharma TV show episodes are produced from his production house. Salman Khan hosted TV reality shows like Bigg Boss and appeared as a guest in TV shows like Super Night with Tube light. He sang in many Hindi movies like O Oh Jaane Jaana – Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Teri Meri – Bodyguard  (2011), Saiyaara – Ek Tha Tiger, Selfie Le Le Re – Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and, any more.
