The Dabangg franchise, starring Salman Khan, is set to return for its third installment in the form of Dabangg 3. The movie is set to release on December 20 this year. The franchise, which is notable for the essential shirtless scenes featuring Salman, does not seem to disappoint with even its upcoming release. Salman has been reportedly working out very hard to get into an impressive shape for his fans.
An intensive regime
Salman, 53, has been in amazing shape for his age but aims to take it to the next level with Dabangg 3. According to sources, he has been working hard for the last six months to get into shape for the climax scene of the movie in which he will be shirtless. His character will be going up against South Indian actor, Sudeep. The final scene includes hand-to-hand combat and Salman has been training for the same. The actor reportedly also took part in intense weight training, cycling, and cardio exercises. He even added rope skipping to his routine to add the flexibility and agility his character needed. Dietary changes were made as well to help speed up the transformation.
About Dabangg 3
Dabangg 3 is the third movie in the franchise coming in after 2012's Dabangg 2. The movie will be directed by Prabhu Deva. This is not the first time a South-Indian dancer will be directing a Salman movie as Remo D'Souza had directed Race 3 in 2018. The film will be mainly produced by Salman's own production house. His brother, Arbaaz Khan, will also be involved in the production. The film will star Salman, Sonakshi Sinha, and Arbaaz Khan reprising their roles from the earlier Dabangg movies. South Indian actor, Kichcha Sudeep, will also reportedly join the cast as the antagonist in this movie. Sudeep posted on his social media about how Salman and the crew made him "feel at home". The film is due to release on December 20, and fans expect it to be a good choice during the Christmas/New-Year's celebrations.
