Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan to share screen space in Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal 2'

Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan has been the talk of the town ever since the actress had expressed her fondness for the ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ star on Karan Johar's controversial chat show ‘Koffee with Karan'. Now, excitement has touched the next level as media reports suggest that the pair is going to be featured in a movie together. As per Filmfare, Kartik and Sara are all set to share screen space in Imtiaz Ali's upcoming venture 'Love Aaj Kal 2'. This is going to be the first time Bollywood newbie will be starred opposite the Kartik Aaryan. 

The film is going to be a reboot of the 2009 hit romantic saga 'Love Aaj Kal' starring Sara's father Saif Ali Khan opposite Deepika Padukone. Carrying the lineage forward, now Sara is going to take up the lead role in the second instalment of the film which is soon to go on floors. However, there are speculations to whether Saif will also be featured in the upcoming venture.

Sara and Kartik's fresh friendship might have been making the headlines as Sara while attending the Season 6 of 'Koffee With Karan' along with father Saif said that she wants to date the 'Sonu Ki Tittu Ki Sweety' actor. In another interview, when an RJ asked her if she should send Sara’s picture to Kartik, the actress had replied that she should send her address instead.  

When asked about Sara’s comment, Kartik had quipped that he is still waiting for her address. He added that they had exchanged pleasantries at a party. The actor had called the newcomer ‘lovely’ and conveyed his best wishes for her debut film ‘Kedarnath.’ Moreover, recently, Sara's 'Simmba' co-star Ranveer Singh introduced her to Kartik in an award function. The hilarious video of the same has gone viral on social media.

On the work front, Sara has been appreciated widely for her debut performance in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath'. The actress is now all geared up for her next appearance in Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' which also stars Ranveer Singh and is all set to hit the theatres on December 28.
