Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Starrer Surpasses ₹10 Crore Mark In Its Opening Weekend

Akshay Kumar starrer Sarfira is witnessing an upward trend at the domestic box office. The movie which opened at ₹2.50 crore, witnessed an 80 per cent spike on Saturday. However, the overall performance was extremely low despite the positive reviews. The movie was predicted to soar to achieve a respectable total in its opening weekend and well it did manage to cross ₹10 crore mark.

As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk, Sarfira witnessed a 20 per cent increase in the daily collections. The movie minted around ₹5.1 crore on Sunday, taking the total to ₹12.1 crore. The third day had a slow start with 9.47 per cent occupancy for the morning shows but then from the afternoon, the footfall increased. Sarfira had an overall 26.46 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday with the maximum reported in Chennai (40.75 per cent).

It is the 150th movie of Akshay and Jyotika, Suriya's wife thanked him for choosing Sarfira, a Hindi remake of the National Award-winning movie Soorarai Pottru. The Srikanth actress took to her Instagram handle and revealed her admiration for Akshay, confessing to being a longtime fan with a poster of him in her bedroom. She shared a photo with the actor on Instagram Story and wrote, "Best wishes Akshay Kumar for the most deserving success and a heart-touching performance. From a fangirl with a poster of yours in her bedroom to becoming a producer for your special 150th film...truly a moment etched in time for me.”
