Shahid Kapoor to play cricket in his upcoming sports movie 'Jersey'

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has started to learn the ropes of playing cricket as he is set to play the role of a cricketer in the Hindi remake of Telegu film Jersey. Shahid Kapoor is regularly going for the cricket sessions to prep for his film. The film's shoot will start at November end in Chandigarh. Here's a picture of Shahid's training session and it looks like Shahid has hit the ball straight out of the park!

On why he took the project, Shahid says that it took him some time to decide what to do next after Kabir Singh. But the minute he saw Jersey, he knew he wanted it to be his next. Shahid Kapoor said that it was wonderful inspiring and a personal human journey that he connected with deeply. The movie will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri and is produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, Dil Raju. Jersey will release on August 28, 2020.

Jersey is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film with the same name. The Telugu movie released on April 19, 2019. Like the Hindi version, the Telugu version of the movie was directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri.

On The Professional front

Shahid Kapoor will also be seen in the movie Bang Bang Reloaded. He will be sharing the screen space with Bharat actor Katrina Kaif in the movie. Though not much has not been revealed about the plot of the upcoming movie, fans can only wonder if it is going to be an action-packed film like the previous Bang Bang movie. Bang Bang Reloaded will be directed by Siddharth Anand and is expected to release on December 1, 2020.
